Medical Director Leadership Institute

Roger Chaufournier, MHSA: Chief Executive Officer, CSI Solutions LLC
Mr. Chaufournier is currently the Chief Executive Officer of CSI Solutions LC, a healthcare technology and consulting firm. Prior to founding CSI he served six years as the CEO of a publicly traded population health management company. He spent twelve years in progressive senior leadership positions in hospital administration at the George Washington University Hospital and University, three years as the Assistant Dean for Strategic Clinical Initiatives for the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; and three years as Chief Operating Officer for a national health plan. He is a four-time Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner including 2019. Mr. Chaufournier’s experience in hospital management, group practice administration, managed care, and leadership of a for-profit public company has afforded him a unique perspective on the health care system.

Lindsay Hunt, MEd: Director, Health Systems Transformation, Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care
Lindsay is responsible for the program’s portfolio, including the launch of the HRSA-funded Advancing Teams in Community Health Program, the Primary Care Improvement Network, and the Abundant Health program in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. These programs all share a focus on strengthening teams and building leadership capacity to improve primary care.

David Margolius, MD: Medical Director of Systems Improvement, MetroHealth System

David Margolius, MD is a primary care physician and the Faculty Co-Lead for the Medical Director Leadership Institute at the Center. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Systems Improvement for the MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH and in this role leads process improvement efforts in clinical quality, patient experience, and patient safety. He is also the Clinical Center Director of Adult Primary Care overseeing all Cleveland primary care practices in the system and he is an Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He lives with his wife and two children in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland.

Claire Pierre, MD: Chief Medical Officer, Harbor Health Services
Claire is Chief Medical Officer at Harbor Health Services and an internal medicine physician. Prior to this role, Claire served as Chief of Quality and Medical Informatics at the South End Community Health Center in Boston.  She has over ten years of extensive experience in quality informatics, strategic planning, program implementation, population management, patient-centered care, and developing international health care systems.

Erin Sullivan, PhD: Research and Curriculum Director, Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care
Erin leads the Center’s research program, where her team studies high-functioning domestic and international primary care systems. Erin’s research and teaching interests are focused on how to build leaders, teams and culture in healthcare. She leads the Center's Executive Education Offerings, as well as the Clinical Leadership Virtual Academy, which is offered in partnership with the Clinical Director's Network.  

Eric Weil, MD: Associate Chief Health Officer, Cityblock Health, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Dr. Weil is a physician executive, leader, and educator with extensive experience managing and improving care delivery systems at multiple levels. In addition to a proven ability to identify, address and overcome systemic problems and develop infrastructures that function at peak efficiency, Eric has years of successful operational leadership experience within very large and complicated organizations. Eric teaches these skills to healthcare leaders so they can achieve positive outcomes addressing variables that can negatively affect the way that care is delivered to some of our sickest and most vulnerable of patients.
