Physician burnout and depression continue to worsen according to a recent Medscape report. During this session, panelists discussed workforce wellness as a part of our grand rounds series, Reimagining Primary Care in an Era of Opportunity. You'll learn about the importance of workforce wellness in the context of their primary care practice.

Panelists
- Yalda Jabbarpour, MD — Yalda Jabbarpour is a family physician in Washington, D.C., and Medical Director of the Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies. Her research interests include workforce issues such as provider burnout and the delivery and financing of primary health care. Learn about how their respective roles in primary care help to inform their views on workforce wellness.
- Kerri Palamara, MD — Kerri Palamara leads the Center for Physician Well-being for the Department of Medicine at MGH. Her academic work focuses on physician coaching and physician well-being. Palamara leads the American College of Physicians “Physician Coach Training Program,” which focuses on training physicians to integrate coaching techniques into their quality improvement and well-being initiatives.
- Martin Stillman, MD, JD, FACP, FCLM — Martin Stillman is a physician, lawyer, and mediator. Along with practicing internal medicine, he serves as an Assistant Director for the Institute of Professional Worklife at Hennepin Health System (HHS) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this capacity, he conducts education and research on provider wellness both locally and nationally. Stillman also serves as Vice Chair for Faculty Wellness and Retention for the Department of Medicine at HHS.
